Things Getting Worse More Slowly...

Things are still getting worse, but more slowly than before... that's the latest bill of health on the global economy according to Professor Bill Greenback from the University of Chicago.

"While still hurtling towards the abyss, the pace at which we're approaching our inevitable doom may have slowed (slightly)".

This has been greeted as cause for celebration and has prompted the use of optomistic catch phrases from experts and economists, with claims of glasses being half full and clouds having silver linings being echoed through the corridors of the worlds financial institutions.

So it would seem that for now at least every path has it's puddle, and the grass may be greener even if you still have to mow it.

When asked about the continuing rise in global unemployment Greenback said that "The hardest work of all is to do nothing".

When asked how he knew this Greenback claimed that "He who knows not and knows not he knows not is a fool and He who knows not and knows he knows not is simple, He who knows and knows not he knows is asleep and He who knows and knows he knows is wise." this was offered with a smug little smile which was only removed upon his being asked which "He" best described himself.
